Tim Hitchins

Senior RPAS Instructor

Professional Experience
Tim has been working in the commercial RPAS industry for over six years as a film maker and instructor. He has worked with some of the largest media production agencies in Australia and delivered RPAS training to numerous high-profile government and commercial clients.

After piloting his first aeroplane at the age of 15, Tim gained a commercial pilot licence and became a flying instructor. He currently trains international cadet pilots who work for some of the worlds largest airline companies.

One of Tim’s specialty areas is the use of RPAS for emergency response and he currently coordinates an industry-leading government program consisting of 50+ aircraft used in bushfire and emergency roles.

Extensive knowledge of the aviation industry, combined with sought-after skills as an RPAS pilot puts Tim in an excellent position to assist new pilots to enter the industry.

Emily Sidoti

RPAS Instructor

Professional Experience
Coming from a family of pilots Emily was immersed in aviation at a young age. Emily’s profound aviation background including her experience as an Airline Captain is a great benefit to anyone looking to join the league of CASA certified drone pilots. Emily is a talented manager of people and is able to use this skill-set to foster and encourage the best performance out of those under her command. Coupled with that, demonstrates her superior manipulative skills and a high level of technical knowledge. Emily is a talented and dedicated aviator. Emily has over 12,000 hrs flying commercial aircraft, the last aircraft flown was the Superjumbo A380. Safety management, Training, and Human Factors is certainly her passion. Throughout her aviation career, Emily has immersed herself in opportunities that allow her to continually develop as a professional. Thriving in the ever-changing environment of the aviation industry and ensure every team achieves safety and efficiency first.
Emily’s feet are on the ground for the time being due to COVID-19 and returned from overseas in November 2020. Now she is an RPAS instructor based in Sydney

Andrew Reitsma

RPAS Instructor

Professional Experience
Andrew has extensive aviation experience, beginning in 1979, spending several years in General Aviation as a flying instructor, and 36 years in QANTAS as a pilot. His airline career has seen him as a Check and Training Captain on the Boeing 767, and an Airbus A380 Captain, a role he still maintains. His passion for all things aviation is as strong today as it was at the beginning of his career.

Andrew obtained his RePL in 2018 and set up an aerial photography business when Covid-19 hit in 2020.
He is excited to be part of the OVRL training team and brings with him a culture of safety and compliance that will be passed on to all his students.
